http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10...s-sex-scandal/

No "first page" mention of it on cnn's website, yet when Foley was in
trouble, it was front and center for days. But to be fair, maybe it
just wasn't as much real news as Simon Cowell's income per minute, Lisa
Marie naming her twins, and "Gossip Girls" doing an anti-McCain ad...

Sheesh,

More comedy from the right field bleachers.

Let's see, Foley was soliciting sex from teenage boys and the
GOP covered his ass for years versus the Dem who was boinking
one of his adult female aides being called on the carpet almost
immediately by the Dem leadership.

Oh but first I have to ask, is "first page" the title of a
comedy album ? How about "better symbol of the bull****" ?

LOL !!

ABC News broke the story, I just found it interesting that CNN is/was
the only major "news" outlet in the US that didn't have it "front page,"
but rather had **** about Simon Cowell per-minute income and Lisa
Marie's twins' names, esp. after their coverage of Foley.

Much like Clinton, it's not the "boinking," it's the activity
surrounding it - in this case, bribery, obstruction of justice, theft of
funds, misuse of funds, etc. And then, there's the lefties' old fav,
"bu-bu-but he campaigned _specifically_ on a "morality" platform!!!!"
Naturally, an international defender of homosexual rights such as
yourself wouldn't suggest that a homosexual (unmarried) is somehow a
pervert whereas a straight guy cheating on his wife, bribing mistresses
with campaign and taxpayer funds, all while campaigning as the
"candidate of morality" is OK. And there is some question as to her
being his mistress when she became an aide rather than his beginning an
affair with an existing aide.

And FWIW, apparently even his objective critics and law enforcement
acknowledge that while Foley did exchange improper emails and possibly
engage in highly improper conversations with pages, he did not engage in
any sexual activity with _anyone_, page or otherwise, while they were
pages or underage.

Oh but first I have to ask, is "first page" the title of a

Yes, it is sad. You're really taking this election season hard

Er, no. The page was 17, so age-wise, it was consensual. The alcohol
issue, from a criminal rape standpoint, is iffy at best, and AFAIK, the
page never made such an accusation. That said, it was _significantly_
more improper than what Foley was alleged to have done in that Foley
didn't engage in sexual relations with pages, of consensual age or
otherwise.

Oh come on, Dave. I thought that was pretty funny, especially with the
little winky thing next to it.

I don't care who's diddling who. I do know that when a congressman gets
caught, the traditional early response is applause from the floor when
the involved party gets caught, unless the act was homosexual. As to
this latest guy, so he's doing to his aide what Bush has been doing to us
all these years.

If the Republicans had roped in the Idiot in Chief, even if just after
the 2006 elections, they'd still be a viable party. They didn't and
we're likely to be stuck with a very powerful Dem party for a decade. I
think this is OK, but I think we'd have a better government if there were
two viable parties.

As to his looniness, its looking like I might need a clearance, and I

Oops, nope. He did get the page drunk and have sex with him. But it
wasn't "rape" in the criminal sense. OTOH, it certainly was conduct
that should have garnered much more than a "naughty boy" from the House.
If it were today and a Republican Congressman did the same thing with a
female page, I'd bet _BIG_ that you'd in with other "liberals" yelling
and screaming about what a scumbag he was, suggesting it was "rape" or
nearly so. Gerry Studds was a sorry piece of **** and embarrassment to

in a facial recognition program, aged them 34 years, and decided to
escort me off the grounds as a danger to the well being of the kiddies
here in beautimous Orlando. You know what a pain it is attending an
IT conference in a Little Mermaid costume (it was the only one they
had left)?

If you see this in time and have the time and interest, there's a pretty
good Cuban place near DT - Numero Uno (it's near the corner of Michigan
and Orange Aves). There's also a pretty good FFing shop a few blocks up
Orange, The Fly Fisherman, which is right near Tim's Wine Market, which
has generous tastings in the afternoons.

HTH,

....btw, the folks at Tim's and The F Fman would probably be amused by
the costume, the folks at Numero Uno, um, well, not so much...

Oh come on, Dave. *I thought that was pretty funny, especially with the
little winky thing next to it.

I don't care who's diddling who. *I do know that when a congressman gets
caught, the traditional early response is applause from the floor when
the involved party gets caught, unless the act was homosexual. *As to
this latest guy, so he's doing to his aide what Bush has been doing to us
all these years.

But the page *was* under age, wasn't he (she?)? At the very least
he should have been censured.

If the Republicans had roped in the Idiot in Chief, even if just after
the 2006 elections, they'd still be a viable party. *They didn't and
we're likely to be stuck with a very powerful Dem party for a decade. *I
think this is OK, but I think we'd have a better government if there were
two viable parties. *

Yes, a lot better. And speaking of roping in, the Dems should
consider doing that to Ms. Pelosi: that pre-bailout vote speech was
over the top. No, I don't believe that it really affected Rep votes,
but it did show just how deaf Washington pols like her have become.

Agreed. And Congress should have stripped him of committee
assignments, censored him, and thrown him out on his ass if possible.
Ditto with the Dem with the icebox full of cash.

And Delay should be in jail too. And Louie, what you do with this kind
of **** is not truthful in terms of how most people understand the
term. Its that old means/ends thingy again.

He "had sex" with a male page who was 16. That is statutory rape. If
the kid was drunk and could not give his consent, that is rape,
period.

Gerry Studds raped a male page and made sexual advances at several
more.

You will apparently never learn that making such allegations about
people wont do any good at all. I have no idea whether there is any
truth to them, but I know that you have made many other allegations,
including completely unfounded allegations about me, so I would tend
to disbelieve anything you wrote anyway, and presumably others will
too.

Do you consider making such allegations "helping your fellow man?".

Thatīs a bit inconsistent donīt you think? Painting pictures of people
engaged in monkey fellatio, or shagging diseased sheep is fine with
you, but you think Democrats and Republicans should be censored for
turning over a new page?

Not "people" Mike, YOU. I still think a series of paintings of you
blowing a wide variety of monkeys, chimps etc., dressed in your sari,
would sell like hotcakes. Of course there are your fans, on both sides
of the Atlantic, but also sales of the collectable trading card
versions, sales in the Third World, vending machine sales in truckstop
restrooms, etc. Fame Mike, Fame.

No "first page" mention of it on cnn's website, yet when Foley was in
