The colours here are quite vivid right now.

Perhaps you remember Rainer Volkmann from when you were here? He got
this nice sea-trout ( Sea-run brown) from a small local stream on
Monday lunchtime, (one of the same streams you fished);

DAMN those are some seriously nice fish! The local water you are
talking about....is that the pool under a copse of overhanging trees
in a field we hiked into one night? Thats one huge fish for such a
small pool...I remember you telling me that there were monsters in
there, but I had something in the 30-35 cm range in mind. We fished it
at night...maybe daytime was a better time?

Yes, that´s the place. It is not unusual to have sea-run browns of
well over twenty pounds in that stream, ( although most of them run
after the angling season ends), and most are caught at night, but a
few are also caught during the day.

I caught a couple of smaller ones on the same day, but I had no camera
with me, and I released them immediately.

Killfiling--that's your advice, although I disagree. As I do with
Dave's advice--ignoring. I do not choose to killfile or ignore any of
you; you all often have good stuff posted and even virtual
relationships are relationships, and I prefer to keep relationships
alive, civil, and productive. I have no beef with Mike, nor do I have
one with you, and certainly none with Dave (with whom I had a great
weekend fishing and look forward to doing again). I disagree with
Mike's invective-filled posts here, so I do not engage with him when
he does it. Likewise, I feel the same about you; I choose not to
engage in flame wars with you, but instead try to maintain an open
discourse.

If Mike's intent is to destroy ROFF (which it is), then you are
helping him immensely. Contributing to that weird cycle is not my
crusade; however I (like others, I am sure) certainly would like to
see you guys desist. Roff, of course, will never be 'destroyed', but
it sure can become a lot less fun for everyone else except you guys.

I offer you all another perspective on your advice: if there is a
civil thread going on, don't trash it. Just killfile ME and the people
who are not participating in your flame fest.
