The Obama family is finally getting their dog. It's been reported
that Ted Kennedy will deliver a six-month old male Portuguese Water Dog on Tuesday. But here's the scandal that's going to outrage rdean. The dog is from a high-priced kennel, the same high-priced kennel where Ted Kennedy buys his own dogs. The pup was sold but the owner returned him to the kennel. So now the hypocritical, business as usual, amateur political hacks in the White House will try to pass off this expensive kennel dog as a "rescue". HAVE THEY NO SHAME !! *IMPEACH* *IMPEACH* !! -- Ken Fortenberry - bringing you the news so rdean doesn't have to ;-) |

I hadn't heard about this, but assuming the basic facts you present are accurate, yeah, it is more amateurish stuff. Outrage me? Hardly. But WTF is he (and/or his people) thinking? Why not just go to a shelter, pick out a fairly attractive, healthy puppy and be done with it instead of this? TC, R |

Why not just go to a shelter, pick out a fairly attractive, healthy puppy and be done with it instead of this? I'm no mind reader but I believe Obama is thinking "I'm gonna get the most suitable dog I can find for my situation and my family and screw the rest." If that's amateurish then it sure is refreshing to have an amateur in the White House. Hmmm..."screw the rest"...? What "rest" would that be? Look, I absolutely agree that, for most folks, the choice of a dog, within reason (and his choice, all other things aside, seems within reason) is a personal choice and a non-event. But he isn't most folks, and more importantly, he, Michelle, and their staffs made it an issue with all the talk about it. Had he just gotten the dog, it wouldn't (or at least shouldn't) be an issue, just like if he hadn't harped and harped about "no lobbyists" and then almost on day one signed waivers so he could hire some. Coming to the Uh oh, tee-hee and tsk, tsk, tsk desk tomorrow: Incompetent, hypocritical, amateurish Obama team picks wrong church for Easter Sunday worship !!! Same thing - if he and his family had kept quiet about it and just picked a church (or had the balls to say, "look, we believe in God, but we just aren't big church-goers" or something similar), fine. But when he makes an issue out of something (or creates the issue via a misstep), it's reasonable to critique his handling of it. (We at the tee-hee desk don't know yet which church those idiots picked, only that it will be the wrong one.) See, that's the thing - I don't believe he's an idiot - in fact, I am certain he is a very _intelligent_ guy. But again, "intelligent" is not the issue. It's experience, common sense, and he and his staff being "smart" (or, "savvy," if you prefer). And _his_ picking some dog from Kennedy's breeder is not "smart" or "savvy." HTH, R Sheesh. |

Just think of what you could do with info on a Democratic woman's miscarriage? Or a quadriplegic war hero's' medals? A laugh a minute, not. No, turned a coward's reaction to something he caused because he was drunk into a t-shirt. The man never payed for his little indiscretion. I would have gone to jail. So would you. Just think of what you could do with info on a Democratic woman's miscarriage? Or a quadriplegic war hero's' medals? A laugh a minute, not. When that war hero claims a medal that he was not eligible for, yeah, I'll call him on it. Dem woman's miscarriage? Huh? |

I haven't heard a single peep out of anyone in Obama's White House about the family's choice or lack of a choice outside of giving non-answers to questions from a curious press. But wherever they show up tomorrow morning it will be the wrong place according to Rick Bean Deancounter. (We at the tee-hee desk don't know yet which church those idiots picked, only that it will be the wrong one.) Tee-hee desk update: The Obamas attended St. John's Episcopal Church on Easter Sunday, obviously a terrible choice by the amateurish and incompetent Obama team. The family is still in the process of choosing a full-time church in DC, it may or may not be St. John's, but whatever they choose we here at the tee-hee desk know it will not be the smart or savvy choice. -- Ken Fortenberry |

Well, yeah. Shows he believes in make-believe mythical creatures. Might be savvy though. - Ken "Religion easily has the best bull**** story of all time. Think about it. Religion has convinced people that there's an invisible man...living in the sky. Who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer, and burn, and scream, until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you. He loves you and he needs money." George Carlin |
