....that Susan Boyle, the talented gal who sang on "Britain's Got Talent" looks a
fair bit like Simon Cowell (well, what he would look like if he didn't have a
troupe of makeup people, plastic surgeons, etc. on-call to help him look like a
Hollywood fag...).

And my apologies to Miss Boyle for any perceived offense - none was meant...to
her...

When I first saw her introduction in the clip I saw, it was on the computer, and
I honestly thought it was some "gag," with Cowell in a dress, etc. All the
snickering from the audience kinda supported it (obviously, their view was
better than mine via streaming video on a laptop, so it seemed plausible that
they could clearly see it was Cowell in drag...unfortunately, they were just a
bunch of impolite idiots...which, I suppose, shouldn't come as a surprise...).
When she started singing and immediately everyone started cheering, I wasn't
sure what was up as I only saw the coupla-three minute segment from her walking
out and the first half or so of her singing - there was no "set-up."

When I then saw her picture, it still looks like Cowell - an older sister or
something...

For some reason when Cowell opens his mouth I want to pop him. I can't
watch that program for more than 5-10 minutes without wanting to smack
him. Unfortunately my wife loves that show and the dancing show.

We in the UK saw the pre-judgement of the audience and the judges being
completely reversed to total admiration and acclaim when she started
singing. Her standing ovation was thoroughly deserved

As they say - you can't tell a cigar by the picture on the box.

Well, there ARE some similarities....the eyes and eyebrows,
especially. Simon has some descendency from Scotland, so maybe its the
'Scottish Eyes a-Smilin'" or something. But the noses, chins and shape
of their heads are considerably different, as is their smiles.

I see a much closer resemblance with this guy...

This, I would agree with. The eyelids seem to arch downwards similarly
in both people, otherwise not real likeness.
