I figured as much - I was merely commenting on the (humorous, IMO) proliferation
of "OT" prefixing such subjects as insert team or sport, most- or least-fav pol or click-n-clack car tip here... Here, I'll further help chum the waters for ya... RONALD REAGAN RULEZ!!!! It's just good manners to put OT in the Subject: header of off-topic posts so those who want to filter the Subject: headers can do so. As for the David beats Goliath baseball game I am reminded that the Illini beat college baseball leviathan LSU about this time last year. Turns out it didn't mean a whole hell of a lot. LSU had their usual excellent season and Illinois had their usual mediocre "snow belt team" season. But for nonce, congrats to Eastern Carolina. g east carolina fields a decent baseball team most years, plays a strong schedule, and is fun to watch when playing in greenville... especially when matched against out-of-state ranked teams or carolina or nc state. ill-noise's team is here in our annual invitational tournament. "western" virginia is here too. ECU should come play ASU, except that no one could find the field lines or ball for that matter--just a wee bit of snow on the field. The footbal stadium field has about three feet of smow on it! Hope it melts away by sept. Op |

Bright sun, lots of snow melting, birds chirping.....and lots of work in the woods. It's an annual event, in honor of an east carolina baseball coach who did a great job in building the program, but died of Lou Gehrig's disease (ALS). Oddly enough, he also coached at WCU...so the title game today is between the two teams he last coached. Aw, that's what happens when a bunch of Chardonnay-sipping Chicago types (IOW: a pack of wussies) attempt to mess around with good ol' southern folk...
