I've apparently misspoke about the dates. I'll arrive late Friday
night, Sept 3, or more likely around noon Saturday Sept 4. As you drive in to Many Glacier, watch for my car, Merceded ML320 gray, 552LVJ Washington. If you see it parked along the lake, we're down there fishing. Warren is bringing the ROFF banner, so that should help identify clave central. I'll be leaving Thursday Sept 9 to drive home. The list so far is: Chas, Andy, and Glen Wade Warren Findley George Miller Mark Tinksy (with Warren) John Hightower (If he can break free) Kevin Vang (Not! and we'll miss you) Chas remove fly fish to reply http://home.comcast.net/~chas.wade/w...ome.html-.html San Juan Pictures at: http://home.comcast.net/~chasepike/wsb/index.html |

I'm hoping to head up Friday afternoon/evening- probably tent camping. I
still don't know if Linda is comming- she recently had carpal tunnel surgery and they have not established her return to work schedule. She thought that labor day weekend would likely be her first weekend back to work. I'll have to head back Monday the 6th. jh "Chas Wade" wrote in message news:uIhTc.119799$8_6.20447@attbi_s04... While I look forward to seeing you again, please be prepared for my questions regarding the surgery that your wife went under. I need both wrists done and am putting it off due to some of the horror stories I have heard..... :-( -- Warren (use troutbum_mt at earth(nospam)link dot net to reply via email) Linda had her right wrist done. outpatient surgery- went in about 10:30- I took her home at about 4:30. She has some pain- but not enough to use any of the percocet they "gave" her. They are waffling about how long she will be off work- 4 weeks to 6 weeks. It's been about 2 now, and she really has no strength in her thumb- so I've been kind of helping out, dishes, yardwork, etc- hey! wait a minute! She does tend to overdo it so it is hurting at the end of the day. We have lots of ironworkers that get it done- mostly people that tie rebar for a living- I'm not aware of anyone having trouble with the surgery. The only horror story I know is the ironworker who refused to have the surgery and clipped my work comp for $300,000.00 and permanent disability :-( jh |

I need both wrists done and am putting it off due to some of the horror stories I have heard..... :-( Don't know how bad off you are and I'm no medical doc but it might be controllable/reversible. I was in pretty bad pain while finishing my phd, using pads, wrist splints, anything I could to try to help. Nothing did...until I did the following: 1. Change the way I typed. Holding wrists up in the air and having hands level with my arms was VERY important. Your CT might be from some other activities, but I think alot of the problems are from bad "posture" of the wrists in whatever we are doing. 2. Changed the way I slept. No more curling the hands under a pillow. Sleep with flat hands straight wrists and straight fingers. 3. Iced my wrists nightly for about two months. Serious ice. Fill some styrofoam cups about 2/3, place in freezer, use one a night. Peel back styrofoam and apply to wrists, past the point of pain. I've been "clean" nigh on eight years now. I realize some people have real problems that can only be corrected through surgery, but I can vouch that you can be in serious pain and seemingly no hope, and recover on your own. Jon. |

My right wrist was done some 6 or 8 years ago and had to be re-done. Some folks just have it return. But the pain is gone!!!! I had my right elbow done at the same time (tennis elbow) and there again, wish I hadn't waited so long - although the insurance company made me go through the hoops with trying everything else - cortizone shots, etc. first. If you have a bunch of pain and tingling, numbness and you've tried the basics to relieve it, don't wait - as long as that is what you're Dr. suggests. I,too will be at the clave, so you can feel free to talk to me about my experiences. Looking forward to meet everyone - and learn about flyfishing for pike! Are all of you tent camping? Have fun, George I've camped there regularly, including a day when we had to stop cooking because a full grown grizzly came into camp. If you keep the food out of the tent, you're OK. The campground is fair sized, and busy in the summer, bears mostly stay away.
