TRACKER Pro TeamT 170 TX

Any comments (good or bad) on this boat by owners? I'm seriously looking at
this model. Limited to just under 19' in the garage. This is one of the few
that will fit. Thanks

I bought on 06 Tracker 170TX last Spring. Overall, I give it a "thumbs up".
In 06, they did not come with a swing-away tongue, on the trailer, which is
unfortunate for me. 07's have this feature, as well as a middle seat.

I've been very happy with my boat. I put a 50hp two-stroke on it. Top
speed about 34mph, but accelerates quick and gets on plane quickly. This is
GREAT boat for two people to fish from. With three, I find the third person
is best to just stand in the middle area, so he/she is not up high on the
deck, but this hasn't caused problems for me. I personally would not be
happy with a 25hp on this boat, as I think I would feel it was two slow on
bigger lakes, but this is just my opinion. Only other shortcomings I can
think of is that it does not have a recirculation feature on the livewell,
but it does have aerator with timer, as long as you are on the water. It
also doesn't have an onboard charger, but I have added one myself, and
recommend that.

I did add a nicer depth finder to the front, upon purchase, and it was
pre-wired to handle this. Over winter, I added a butt seat for the front,
purchased from Tracker, to match the interior.

It is very easy to pull. I normally use a 2wd full size truick, but I've
also used my Silhouette mini-van, and it handles it just fine.

Regarding stability, it clearly isn't as stable as a big wide fiberglass
boat, but I do not feel insecure in any way while moving around on the deck.
You just feel some movement if you are moving around.
