ABU AMBASSADUER 7000 help

When putting on line it goes on uneven so when I have finished one end is
higher than the other. Apparently this is a problem with all the old 7000's
but does anyone know the cure for it if there is one?

Hi the reason for this is probably wear in the level wind shaft at one
end. you need to replace the shaft with the helical thread cut in it
and the pawl that locates in it. These cost about $5.
