Gotta start somewhere.

can you get a coarse fishing licence any time of year or just set times ?

Any time. Some waters, mostly rivers, are closed from March 15 'til June 15
inclusive.

OK, Get someone to show you how to set your gear up and go for it :-)

btw i cant swim.lol

's OK. You stay on the dry side. Ideally you want a screen of bankside
foliage between you and the water to hide yourself from the fish so use the
length of the rod to give you that margin.

(This btw is the single commonest error in angling. People plonk themselves
in clear sight of the fish which promptly move over and they have to fish
for them close to the far bank. Keep quiet and out of sight and you can
fish for them under your own bank.
)

Cheerio,

Try a google search for fishing license.

Damn difficult I know, but give it a go. You may like to include EA.

Not Electronic Arts!
