Baby Lobster
 

Monday I took my 12 year old grand son and his 13 year old buddy, who was a
first timer, bass and bluegill fly fishing on a local bass pond.
"John", the 13 year old said. "Look, There is a baby lobster."
"Nope", sez I, "Not in fresh water. "What do you think it is?
"Ummmmm, crawfish?" "Bingo", sez I.
"Why is it so red?" he asked.
"What is the color of the red clay bank you're standing on?" I said.
"Oh, I see." he said.
All of which gave us an excellent intro to showing a very bright student one
of bass' prey first hand!
