Try all sorts of colours, I don't think that there is a best colour. If I
was to choose one, I would say Red make it a strawberry flavour or even
Garlic. I suppose your one of these carp type people, there are other
species ;)

I have a strong belief that red is the best colour - certainly for
tench. I find my catch rate is noticeably increased when I use red
sweetcorn, red mini boilies, a bunch of red maggots and red groundbait.
A fishery biologist friend of mine even ventured so far as to suggest
that it has something to do with tench having red eyes!
