A question of timing and fishing destinations
I have a friend who had a trip to the Bahamas or somewher like that
cancelled the first week of Dec.. He d like to use that week for fishing. Are there steelhead or Salmon still running that late in Waash , Ore or ID? TIA MT |

Also consider the tail end of the chum salmon runs. The fish will be off color, but still hard fighting. December is good for coastal winter steelheading in Nor Cal, OR & WA but it is cold as hell and not to easy. Also weather is a big problem . Not enough rain or too much rain. You could do some winter trout fishing on the tail race fisheries like at Lees Ferry. You could go to the tropics near the equator.
