Would a single action reel be useful at all for bass fishing. I have reel of
vintage origin. I was thinking it may be useful on a modern day glass cane
pole.

What do you mean by "single action"? I've got a couple of single action
Rugers but they don't fit any of my reel seats.

One turn of the handle equals one turn of the spool, typically a
fly reel, ie the classic Pflueger.

This reel is made of bakelite. The brand is steelite and circa 1940.

Modern day glass came pole? I thought a cane pole was made of cane. (Bamboo

Made of glass or graphite according to the article i read. I've seen them at
the fishing show. I would shy away from the bamboo pole.

(2) Return it to Wal*Mart.
(3) Stop putting so much sour cream on my tacos!

Would you just quietly sneak away from the pole in hopes it doesn't see you?
Or run away with hands flailing in the air? I couldn't resist. It's much
harder to ignore him when the lakes have lids on them. I'm a bad
