Best fly line flotation
This is the right answer.
A friend of mine who I think knows a lot says he only uses soap and water and does not put anything on his lines today. Many feel that the Tiemco(Umpqua) silicon line dressing is very good. Some like Russ Peak line dressing. For years many use the Mucilin paste too. If your floating fly line is more than 5 years old, I would think about a new fly line. The most expensive are only ~$60 USD. -- Bill Kiene Kiene's Fly Shop Sacramento, CA, USA Web site: www.kiene.com "Sierra fisher" wrote in message ... (they all have strengths and weaknesses but work real well together) Line Cleaner: soap and water. If more is needed, try LineSpeed et al. Reel Lube: Whale Spit Knot Lube: Knot-Perfect (but it's pretty damn close...;) And I'll bet Warren carries all that stuff in his vest. :-) -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |
