Is Simms being honest?

On their warranty page, they say:
"Further, we will only charge you our actual cost for any additional
repairs that you may need during the life of your wader. Our Repair
Department is not a profit center. "

From what I have heard Simms is charging ALOT of money for repairs, do
people believe the above is factual?

They reconditioned a pair of very worn waders for me for $60, which I
thought was well worth it. They make a great backup pair.

I ve sent a lot of waders back to Simms. At first they fixed at no
charge and lately they have been charging. One time it was $100
and the waders started leaking again in weeks. Other times they
have been pretty good or at least the shop owner absorbed the
charge and didnt tell me. This involved replacing the boot foots on
G 3 s and shortening them and adding reinforcing tape to the
inseams which had worn out.

My biggest bitch with SImms are on on the last pair of boots I
bought with aqua stealth and studs. After the soles wore out ( 1
year) I sent them to their authorized repair person and got them
back without the studs. Questioning this they told me Simms doesn t
supply them with aqua stealth soles with studs. Pretty cheesy MT

Anything on the warranty page about the check being in mail or not
coming in your mouth? If so, nope, they are lying through their
teeth...
