Yes, I am whining and complaining again.

Why does Cabelas take 2-3 days before even processing an order?

Is it just me? I understand over a holiday, but it seems to me everything I
have ordered from them in the last year has taken them at least two days to
process before shipping? I don't recall Bass Pro or West Marine taking that
long. Some of the little guys do, but you expect that. their on-line sales
are only a part of what they do to make a living.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had so much trouble w/ cabela's. I have never
had any trouble with them at all. (although one time I got a shipment late,
but it turned out to be UPS's fault, not cabela's). That said, when I order
from them I usually call it in, rather than use their internet site - I just
don't feel comfortable useing alot of different credit cards over the internet.

I just placed an online order last week with them and it came exactly when
they said it would.

There are some sites out there with super-fast service. It makes the
others look slow. I ordered a surround receiver on Wed and it was on
my porch when I got home from work Fri. I order from Cabelas a lot.
They are usually pretty quick. 3 to 5 days and I have my order.

Why not try using the loal sporting goods store,
because if they dont have it they will get it for you, and give you
localadvice that a mailorder
company cant give.

Lannie doesn't stock some things. I use Sportsmen's Hide-A-Way all the
time. It is one the best stocked small shops I have ever seen. I have
taken Lannie fishing, and I firmly believe in supporting the local
businesses whenever I can. I'll even pay a lttle more (not a lot more) to
buy from the local guys. I hope they give me the same courtesy when they
pick a communications contractor.

There are things that the local shops can't or won't get, or have to charge
too much to sell. When I go after a higher ticket item I will walk in and
ask them if they can make a little money and still give me a competitive
price. Most can if they want to.

All my Cabela's orders arrive on the day promised, or before. If I need
faster service, I have the option of paying for express shipment.

Sure, so do I. Sometimes event he day before they say. My complaint is
that they don't actually ship the order for 2-3 days, and they don't tell
you what the real delivery time is until after you have placed the order.

2 day delivery DOES NOT arrive in two days from the time you order. Atleast
not for me. It arrives two days after whenever they actually get around to
shipping it. Usually 4 to 5 days after I order.

Option to pay for faster delivery? How exactly does that help when I OFTEN
DO pay for faster delivery, but they still don't actually process the order
any faster?
