"Mike Connor" wrote in message ... Brilliant piece of software, and free to boot! http://www.ccleaner.com/ Shame it does not work on newsgroups. I looked at the site. Looks really useful. But....... Some of us know little enough about computers that it's impossible for us to assess with any certainty whether we can do ourselves any damage. I, sad to say, fall into that category. What are the chances that, with a simple click of the mouse, I'll do something that I will regret? For example, when uninstalling some piece of unused software, I have occasionally gotten a message saying something to the effect that one or more of the files being deleted is a shared file.....do I really want to delete it? How the hell would I know? Wolfgang |
