Hey Tim: Let me know when (if) they arrive. They went out of Nairobi, Kenya via 5-day mail on Monday. That means, with any luck, you ought to get them by the deadline in December. Flies arrived safe & sound - nice tie, Myron. Ummmmm, so where are the others? :) Just kidding, boyos - the deadline is still December 10. -- TL, Tim ------------------------ http://css.sbcma.com/timj |

Good to know that the African mails still work...at least in East Africa. How many tyers are there? I ran out of hooks right at #20 (in fact, a close inspection will show that I had to use a couple of wet fly hooks to complete the batch), otherwise I would have done a few extras. Do me a favor, and if you spot one or two that look a bit more bedraggled than the rest, don't send those out. :-) The odds look pretty good that I'll be in Boston over Valentine's day for the next job fair. I'll make arrangements to get my flies from you then. Tie them up pretty, boyos. --riverman |

I had one person email that they wanted to cancel, but I've asked them to reconsider. It's one thing to cancel because of an emergency issue, quite another just to cancel for a silly reason. NIMS (Not In My Swap). The way my mama raised me was that a person should follow through on commitments. I'm sure hoping the rest of your mamas did as good of a job. :) I ran out of hooks right at #20 (in fact, a close inspection will show that I had to use a couple of wet fly hooks to complete the batch), otherwise I would have done a few extras. FYI: I should have mine in the mail Friday or Sat. "Peter Charles" wrote: snip Mailing tomorrow. Thanks guys - I'll email you when they arrive. I spent an hour at the vise yesterday resulting in zero flies tied. What a freakin' aggravating time. For some reason I had eight thumbs attached where fingers used to be. I think I need to drink more when I tie so either I'm more relaxed or I just don't care what they look like. :) I also discovered I ran out of the correct body material, so back to the materials shop today. This tying stuff ain't as easy as youse guys make it look. ;-) -- TL, Tim ------------------------ http://css.sbcma.com/timj |
