Spinning reel for bonefish
I plan to do some flyfishing for boenfish in Belize next spring, but because
I may not have the accuracy required, I also plan to try spincasting. What is the appropriate rod and reel combination for bonefish? What spinning reels have the best drags? What weight and brand line to use? Steve |

steven I would recomend a 7 ft rod in the 6-12lb range why such a long rod? you will be able to throw a small jig, shrimp, or crab very far and accurate.spinning reels nothing but a Shimano best drags on the market hands down. I would also recomend Fireline I use 14lb you can put a mile of line on your reel and it will cast a mile... Belive me I do it every day to make my living Thank You Larry Steven Locke wrote: I plan to do some flyfishing for boenfish in Belize next spring, but because I may not have the accuracy required, I also plan to try spincasting.
