I'm planning a trip to Sand Point (Weston-Super-Mare) this weekend.

Does anybody know how it's fishing at the moment, or have any good tips?

Fish it on a low tide (I have never done high). Use leads with grips on.
Carry lightly...its a long walk and go steady over the weed.
Good luck.

This agrees with what I've found on the web. Low tide is at 4pm on
Saturday, and I thought we'd probably do a couple of hours either side.
I hear that the tide can be a bit hairy there; is it a "be careful"
venue, or is fishing a flood tide there after dark seriously dodgy?

Use leads with grips on.

6oz grip should hold?

Good info, thanks.

Good luck.

Yes, 6oz should hold. The tide is manic sometimes and I wouldnt like to say
