I use a two-arm rattle collar of flexible plastic to which you attach
rattles. The collars run about six or seven cents apiece. The rattles to go in them are an additional 20-24¢ each, so a complete rattle assembly is around fifty cents. You can also buy them pre-assembled from various manufacturers in three-packs for about a dollar apiece -- $3 or so for the set. To see the collars, go to http://www.staminainc.com/skirt_buil...le_collar.html Stamina doesn't have the best prices, but their online catalog shows all the components you need. They also have one-arm collars. We try to have only the absolute best components in our propack kits, and the double-arm rattles made the cut. They're especially useful in murky water or at night, but I know some guys who add a rattle to almost every spinnerbait they throw, except maybe for our 1/8 or 3/16 models intended for very clear water situations. Thanks for the link Joe.The collars are what I was looking for,I fished a
night tournament on Ft. Loudon last summer and that was the ticket, only I didn't have any and had to borrow baits from my partner. For some reason they popped into my head this morning. Maybe it's time I just started ordering from you guys. Thanks again! "Joe Haubenreich" rofbmail (at) secretweaponlures (dot) com wrote in message ... Another trck I have heard is to slide a shrink tube over the hook shank, and
slide a glass rattle inside the tube, then heat. I tried it once, but the tube I used was pretty stiff, and I had a hard time sliding it over the curve of the hook to ge t it onto the hook shank. -- Spinner Baits Tips & Tricks Contest featuring Secret Weapon Lures in December ** Public Fishing and Boating Forums ** www.YumaBassMan.com "BassMr" wrote in message .net...
