what i *didn't* get for christmas...
 

time to vent. here is what i wanted for christmas, but didn't get:

a martin d18ge (sunburst), only $2700 out the door; a week with that guitar
and lucinda williams, both in savannah, jawjah, at the same time, same
place, same room.

and all the stoli we could drink.

what i *didn't* get for christmas...
 

I'd have settled for the D-18 ge, Wayno. I'd even settle for an hour or so
playing the guitar I have.

In preparing gifts for delivery this year, I found the gift certificates
($150.00 Orvis) that my daughter gave me last year. I thought they had been
thrown out with the gift wrappings. Serendipidy at its best.

Well, it doesn't look like she's on tour now but if you'll keep an eye on
it, and keep us posted, I'm sure a good old fashioned get together could be
arranged, clave like.

Well, look at this way: you also didn't get a Russian guitar, spend the
week in a Georgia motel room with Martin Williams, and get a $2700 bill
for all the made-in-Savannah vodka you two drank, either...well, I
SUPPOSE you didn't - if you did, I, for one, don't really wish to
know...
