Georgia fishing...

If a guy was to visit the west Atlanta area in the spring, what dates in
the spring would be the best for him to expect his best shot at good
pre-spawn fishing? Also, which of the big three lakes in the area should
this guy spend the majority of his time pounding (counting West Point as one
of them)? Of course this isn't for me, mind you, it's for a friend of
mine....yeah, a friend... :-)

Now. Two years ago I caught a 7.25 pound bass that I am almost postitive was on
the bed the last day of February. Big bass often bed here in March, if we have
a few warm days. Most bass will bed in April, most of them on the full moon.
Early March has always been the best fishing to me, up to the end of April.

If you are going to be in the Atlanta area you ought to spend a few days on
Lanier fishing for big spots. I got one weighing 4.29 last April in a club
tournament, and it was the second biggest one weighed in. They too hit good
form early March thru April.
