JP Ross fly rod

I recieved my new JP Ross beaver meadow custom 6'6" 2-wt in the mail this weekend.
Allot of people hear about them, but no one actually owns one.
Well, this little rod is fantastic. It is a slow action custom rod for a very reasonable price.
It is a perfect rod for us in the northeast.
I highly suggest this beauty.
My only complaint is that the reel seat is a moderate gloss walnut reel seat.
It is a beautiful rod with the exception of the reel seat, although the polished aluminum slide does look help.

Berks - where did u get the Beaver Meadows? I casted several with JP at
Danbury in November and thought they were well thought out and executed. The
Breeches shop didn't have any BeaverM's so I'm wondering where around PA to
score my fix. I assume the lil brookies in the hills here will get to put a
bend in that stick?

Les,

Shannon's fly shop in NJ carries the JP Ross fly rods. I will say
that the one I liked was a 4wt model. On the downside of things, I've
heard nightmares about the return policy. Don't just take my word for
it though, I'm only 1 person who heard from another. Just do yourself
a little favor and ask around first.

If you need more info on Shannon's, I'll post it here.
