Does a llevel wind reduce casting distance

Guys
I'm in the market for a new multiplier.
I've already got an original 6500c and ideally I would like another but
wonder if the LW makes a diference + or -
What in the opinion of the ng is the best all round Abu 6500? (not the
6600)
