Been a while
Hi folks,
Hope everyone is muddling through the winter ok. Haven't been around in a bit and just popped by to say hi. Getting my tackle box ready for the spring and I just wanted to ask, What lures and presentations do you plan to work on this coming season? I'm currently stocking up on 1/8 and 1/4 oz round ball jigs for home tied jigs and worm rigs. Thats going to be my lure and the technique is slow, slow, slow. Dave V |

Dave V Hi Dave, When I used jigs as a mainstay I tried variations that I made. I used small blades and soldered the hooks into the concave side and filled them with solder. I found several sizes and shapes that fluttered nicely when not moving forward. They also moved through weeds slightly better than ball jigs. You can add a thin wire loop to protect the hook point and make them virtually weedless. I found some store made ones over the years but it was always fun to make my own. Very small ones work well on panfish and such. Just an idea. Remove the x for e-mail reply www.outdoorfrontiers.com www.SecretWeaponLures.com |
