Norway advice please
I know my question isn't directly relevant to this group but I hope somebody
can give me a few pointers. Instead of a week's trout fishing in the Scottish Highlands this year I am considering a week in Norway taking the car from Newcastle. I am struggling to get many pointers on where to go etc. I've tried the web, local bookshops and the Norwegian Tourist Board info came this morning but it concentrated on river salmon fishing. What we are after is organising an independent trip with trout fishing in lakes/ mountain lakes staying in self catering accommodation. Probably mid to late June. No more that a days drive from the Newcastle-Norway ferry terminals. Can anyone suggest/recommend anywhere or suggest sources of good information. Thanks Ian |

Thanks Ian Ian As the Newcastle ferry goes to Stavanger. There are plenty of rivers and even fiords near the http://tinyurl.co.uk/afsv http://tinyurl.co.uk/2j5h http://tinyurl.co.uk/mpl1 The last one I have been to albeit many years ago. It is a nice area. In fact all that area is nice. Remember, always say "Takk" (tack) and never refuse hospitiality with "Nei" (nay). The Norwegians are smashing people and the further away from the big towns the better the people are. Bobby |
