Gulp lures; better than live bait??? dubious angler wonders
|
No sir I do not like them, the fact that they dry up like leather just swinging on your hook is enough to keep me away from them. I fished them a bit, not much luck with them.

Carl I haven't found them to be any better than -- or even as effective as, really -- plain old, unflavored, unscented plastic or salt impregnated plastic. But given the other topic of discussion here these days, this begs the question, "Do Gulp worms suffer or experience more pain than live worms when impaled on a hook?" |
In MHO Rich, a Gulp worm must suffer more.
I mean their bigger right? So they must feel more "pain". ROTFLMAO! -- D.Norton "RichZ" wrote in message ... E. Carl Speros wrote: Has anyone out there used the new Gulp lures? They both shrivel up when you stick a hook in them

You might want to consider changing your posting format if you're going to hang out on this newsgroup. Now, I've used Gulp lures and I have caught fish. With that being said, are they better than livebait? I don't believe so, not at least under the conditions that I've used them. I've caught just as many fish with regular scented and unscented soft plastic lures as I have fishing with Gulp products. I do find that the slimy texture causes them to slip on the hook moreso than a conventional soft plastic and as has been pointed out in other posts, they will dry out and harden if left on the hook. So I guess they are like live bait! -- Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers http://www.outdoorfrontiers.com G & S Guide Service and Custom Rods http://www.herefishyfishy.com |
