RIP Tom Mann
Another of Modern Bass Fishing's early legends has passed on.
Tom Mann -- the founder of Mann's Bait Company, Tom Mann's Fish World, Allied Industries (later to become Humminbird and eventually Techsonics), and later Southern Plastics -- one of the largest private label plastic injection houses in the country -- and one of BASS's first super stars died on Friday. He was 70. |

He was 70. I met and chatted with Tom last July at ICAST, he seemed to be a genuinely nice guy. My condolences to the family. -- Steve @ OutdoorFrontiers http://www.outdoorfrontiers.com G & S Guide Service and Custom Rods http://www.herefishyfishy.com |

I met him in the early 60's when he was guest speaker at a meeting of the Murfreesboro Bass Angler Society. He had a great sense of humor, and gave us sample packets of his plastic worms.
