stone flys

Are there stone flys a good pattern to use the entire season, or are they
only an early season fly?

I have been using Angora to tie them with, but it's hard to work with.

I have seen other patterns that use a blended dubbing. What do you use to
blend the dubbing? Mix it by hand?

Get yourself a small coffee grinder.DO NOT USE THE ONE IN THE KITCHEN.
They work just great. Keep track of how much of each type or color fur
you use just in case you want to blend the same blend of fur next
year. Hope this helps.....
