Go to www.deja.com and go to the advanced search link. Put in your name
) as the 'from' person, roff as the 'newsgroup', and then
limit the dates to something way back where you are certain to have had
posts. Sort results by date, and go to the last one. You can further narrow
down the options by narrowing the date down more.

The problem comes in if you have changed your usenet name since the
beginning, as that is how it is sorted. In your case, it might be easier to
search for all posts contianing 'yfitons'.

Google / Groups / Avanced search
author Wayne Harrison, group roff, and keep adjusting the date window
until you end up with a browsable number of posts. Alas, there's no such
thing as a 'reverse sort on date' on Google.
