Fly Fishing TV show
This may be a Tony-come-lately post but I discovered recently a TV
show on OLN channel at 0930 evry week-day called Fly Fish TV. The show has 3 parts: a fishing section; a tying section and an instructional section. Worth a look at if you haven't seen it. |
Been watching it for about 3 years Tony........They also have
Flyfishing Masters which is competative flyfishing team fishing........ |

I've been watching "In Search Of Fly Water" for a while and my wife changed
over to satellite from cable. I thought I was going to have to purchase an extra channel from DTV but checked the schedule online, punched in the channel # and there it was...ESPN2....Yay! Been about a month since I've seen the shows... Anthony "hermit" wrote in message ... Check out In Search of Flywater - great show. Mike...
You mention the "competitive flyfishing" as part of the television program. I watched it once when they were covering the "competition" and was really turned off by it. I'm not a fanatic about things dealing with flyfishing although I've been flyfishing for over fifty years. I'm not sure what turned me off. I think it was the fact that flyfishing has always been an escape for me from the "real world" that I live in...a world that is ripe with competition of one kind or another. If I was going to guess, I suppose that was the biggest problem I had with it. Secondly, I've always felt that flyfishers should focus on the experience and not how many fish they catch or how big they are. I remember watching a commercial on television where it shows a flyfisher on the river who has his cell phone (or pager?) with him. He's paged and subsequently leaves the river to make his "important phone call". The product being sold was the phone or pager...and its ability to reach you anywhere. I cringed when I saw that commercial....and for reasons similar to those that caused me to react to the "competitive flyfishing". Barry "Mike" wrote in message oups.com...
