Quick tip - clean off green stuff on electrical connection

My boat trailer electrical harness and the receptacle on my Ford have a lot
of green stuff on some of the connections. The connection is marginal. I
recall that vinegar can clean this up, but I'm not sure. What is the best
way to clean up these connections?

Thanks from Rick
