John Day Clave Tentative Agenda
One of our local fly fshing clubs will be doing an outing the weekend of
June 18th on the John Day River for smallies. I am attending their next meeting (Happy Hacklers, Hillsboro Oregon) to get the particulars. Since it looks like our group will be small, I thought joining another, more experienced, small group might be the way to go. Your input, please! Chris I will be handing out an experimental fly and I expect all in attendance to try my fly and give me an evaluation. This is mandatory and no one will be exempt because I am rewarding those who participate a shot of some very fine whiskey as payment for their consulting services. GRIN If the fly catches lots of fish I want them back, if not you can keep them as a memento! ;) |

Your input, please! .....sorry to say that I will have to pass on the John Day outing this year. Buying a new home (closing on the 1st June) getting moved in lock, stock and barrel will keep me busy until well into June. I just can't afford the time a 4600 mile roundtrip to Oregon would entail. I will, however, manage to get in a trip to Maine near the end of June to fish the Kennebec and Androscoggin with Brooktrout (Dave Bottom) This has become an annual outing that I look forward to and dream about all winter. Hopefully, next year nothing will intrude and I can do a float with you guys. Frank Church |

It's not like all of last summer but there are still things to do. Congratulations on a new place. |
