Orchid Lakes?
Hi all,
I've been invited carp fishing by three avid fisher-people to Orchid lakes ( http://www.orchid-lakes.com/ ) in Cambridgeshire for a long weekend. I haven't been fishing for over thirty years and have no idea what to expect - the others are so full of enthusiasm! My question is this; what do I NOT do? My only experience of fisherfolk is as a canoeist - I don't want to upset these friends by my ignorance of the sport as I did when canoeing. Should I be very quiet near their rods? Would carp hear footsteps on the bank and scarper? Do we only fish in the daylight or throughout the night? Are there definate no-no's when fishing? I know I should ask my pals these questions, but they take the mick out of me for being blonde enough as it is! Thank you, Dribbler |
