FFing close to San Francisco?
 

Hey -- I've got a friend in San Francisco who'd like to try fly fishing
next time I visit him out there. Anyone have any suggestions for some
good rivers for me to look up - no farther than, say, a half-day's
driving distance? Thanks... Tim

Contact Fred Gordon and have him guide you on the Upper Sacramento River
near Dunsmuir which is 4 hours from SF.

Mid June to mid-July should be very good this summer.
