What makes bass orangish color?
 

Some bass I catch are orange tinted around the fins, jaw, and belly.

Is this diet related?
Some bass I get, from the same water, are white/silver with no orange tint.

I was thinking maybe the red from a crawdad diet?

Dude something is wrong with them fish if they have orange tint. Do you
live near a nuclear power plant or is the water polluted from a chemical
plant water discharge?


Just kidding, it is probably like you said from the diet. I sometimes catch
bass from crawfish ponds that look similar to what you catch. In the
sal****er marshes the redfish sometimes have blue tint to their tails from
eating blue crabs.

I would think Diet, I caught some blue mouth pickerels, got that way from
eating blueberries that fall in the water on the shoreline, so says the
locals
