BLOODY Hot Here

Well, spring has taken an early vacation here in SE PA. It's been well into
the 90's for days now. The bass are going deep & summer patterns will soon
rule the waterways.

My boat was just repaired & I'm ready to resume being a boater instead of a
rider. I can't stand being in anyone's backseat.

For me a HUGE part of bass fishing is being on the trolling motor, standing
over my electronics, dictating location & boat position, knowing what is
below the boat etc.

A funny note, I was a rider twice in the last few weeks - on both occasions
my boater won the tourney.

You think it makes a bit of a difference to be in the back vs being in the
front in a draw tourney?

I know it does!

Your right about the fish Warren, even early this morning the only thing
shallow was dinks, moved out into deeper water and found bass suspending in
the sticks in about 15 -20 feet of water. Now all I need is a depth finder

Wow, you've got some mighty deep water in those Bill Dance ponds Randy -
hence the quality fish you've been catching. Nice habitat!

I keep telling you Warren, the bigger lakes have depths that run 20- 30
feet, now that is not the norm, most of the areas are 1-12 feet, as far as
the big fish go, they all came out of the weed choked lake that no one
really fish's, every 15 20 feet you need to pull the TM up and clean the
thick grass from the prop. I just realized about 2 years ago that the weed
lake had some big fish. I would love for you to come up and explorer the
bigger lake here with your boat. Loaded with sticks, stumps and grass, tons
of baitfish and crappie make it a good lake to fish and the best part is
none of the lakes here are ever stocked, last stocking was over 10 years
ago. It just might be the perfect enviroment for casual bass fishing.
