One of those days.
I had one of those days today that you just are happy you are a bass
fisherman. I took off of work today and tomorrow and decided to head out at 6am to catch some smallies on my fly rod. Well as I was driving to the lake I noticed the flags blowing out of the south at about 15mph. A straight south on Winnebago is bad news. So I lauched the boat and hit the lake wide open to see 4' waves. Ah those are the days. So I ran to a spot that would be a little isolated to chase largemouth. I went through one area and had no bites at all. I then came to a spot where the waves were crashing on shore, but lightly. Well to make a long story short in 3 casts I had 3 legals and caught my 4th legal on the 6th cast. Then another 20 minutes later I had #5. In another 20 minutes I had a Walleye. To make a long story short, I fished from 6 am till Noon and I ended up with 7 legal largemouth and a walleye. Nothing huge, 16" being the largest. Chris |
Go figure, I had a tough time in the wind, with the hot temps lately all the
fish have moved into deeper water, but none the less I still caught a few, like you nothing huge, biggest was about 2-3 lbs "Chris Rennert" wrote in message ...
