Plan your Costa Rica fishing trip now - fishing's been great!

June is normally a relatively 'soft' month for fishing here in
Costa Rica. Seems most people are tied up with the kids just getting
off school, or with catching up on last-minute stuff at the office
before the summer silly season.

It's not too early, however, to start thinking - and doing
something - about a year-end or early 2006 fishing trip in Costa
Rica. December-March features one of the world's premier sail bites
in the Central Pacific. Get in on the action, call me now at
1-866-888-6425, 1-866-978-5199, 1-800-634-0012, or e-mail
. Americana Sportfishing will hook you up with the
area's top captains - don't wait until they're all booked.

Fishing isn't shabby right now either. There are sails, marlin and
tuna out there, along with dorado and wahoo, big roosters, jack and
snapper. If you have a few spare days in the next couple of months, and
the itch to take the challenge, call me. I'll send you where the
fishing is best.

Consider the plight of these four married anglers who did manage a
Costa Rica fishing trip:

"You have no idea what I had to do to be able to come down here",
said the first guy. "I had to promise my wife that I will paint every
room in the house when I get back."

"That's nothing", said the second. "I had to promise my wife
that I will build a new deck for the pool."

"Man, you both have it easy!" said the third. "I had to promise
to remodel the kitchen."

They continued to fish when they realized that the fourth guy hadn't
said a word. So they asked: "You're pretty quiet about what you had
to do to go fishing. What's the deal?"

"One night after we crawled into bed, I gave the wife a nudge and
said, 'Fishing or wild sex for a week?'

"'Make sure to take enough sun block', she told me."

For recent fishing news, let's start out south, in Golfito on the
East coast of Costa Rica's Golfo Dulce, where we had Bob Hayden and
three of his buddies fishing for three full days June 12, 13 and 14
with Captain Bobby McGuiness on the 30-foot Sweet Dream. Bob tells it
best - after all, he was the

"We had a wonderful trip to Costa Rica. The arrangements were
perfect! Vans were there on time. Banana Bay (Marina) was great and
Bobby McGuiness was terrific.

"We had good weather and caught a blue marlin at 350lbs. a black
marlin at 235lbs, a monster dorado between 55 and 60lbs, tons of big
roosterfish, plus snapper, tuna, pompano and various others. Bobby was
amazing and almost delivered fish on demand.

"Thanks for all your help".

A few days later, John Young and his friend fished in Los Sue=F1os in
the Central Pacific, where they spent a full day with Captain Tim Blair
on The Predator, a 26-foot Shamrock. "No billfish", John told me by
phone as he was waiting at the Copacabana for the minivan taking them
to San Jos=E9 airport for their flight home, "but several wahoo and
tuna" (and a great dinner that evening).

Sally Wood, her husband, son and daughter-in-law fished a full day out
of Quepos in the Central Pacific with Captain Bill Gannon on the
33-foot Unique. On their way south they managed to catch one sail, but
things were slow, so they moved northwest - out to 28 miles (11 miles
off the spot where the Continental shelf drops to 1,200 feet). Everyone
was pleased: they raised four sails, released one, and one spit the
hook.

Moving north along the Pacific coast to Flamingo, we booked Sam Harris
and his wife for two full days with Captain Sonny Kocis (one day) and
Captain Rolando on the 31-foot Wet Ass II. The couple decided to hook
their own, and were rewarded with two large sails on each day.

Things start moving again in July and August, when a lot of anglers
take advantage of their summer holidays to travel to Costa Rica and do
some fishing. If you have a few days or a week to spare, and a couple
of buddies or members of the family who also like to fish, make Costa
Rica a summer/autumn fishing destination. Call 1-866-888-6425,
1-866-978-5199, 1-800-634-0012, or e-mail
. Get in
a few fishing days with the country's top captains.

By the way, I've branched out a bit and am involved in two
fascinating ocean view real estate projects. Take a look at one of
them, really spectacular, situated between Dominical and Palmar Norte
on the Pacific Coast, at
www.americanarealestatecr.com. The other, just
south of Jac=F3, is just getting underway and will be ready around the
beginning of 2006 - we're putting in the roads and power lines
right now.

While you're here fishing, set apart two-three days and go down to
Palmar Norte - you're invited for a two-day visit at the
project's expense. We'll coordinate the stay as part of your
fishing trip. Take advantage of the current real estate boom and low
interest rates.

Remember, if you're thinking about 2006, don't wait - call me
now. A couple of our top boats out of Los Sue=F1os are already booked
virtually through the end of March; other top captains are being
snapped up quickly. To fish with the best, best be early!
