Renting a boat in Costa Rica - Quepos area

Hi

Heading down to Palo Seco on the Central Pacific near Quepos in CR end of
July for a couple of weeks hard earned vacation.

Can't afford charters, and not interested in offshore.

Looking to rent a small boat with outboard/inboard for fishing
estuary/mangroves, can anyone help with information.

Years of experience with power boats up to 28ft.

Thanks in advance.

the chances that anyone will rent to you without local knowledge is slim.
There are just too many ways to wreck a boat, and it is extremely difficult
to get them repaired in that part of the world (they don't have a lot of
part shops)

One person in Belize offered to sell me a boat, and then buy it back if I
returned it in the same shape!!

It is posssible to get someone with a boat to take you out, and stay with
you. May cost you an extra $100, but that may be worth it.
