Going to Yellowstone mid-to-late September ...

What can expect and where are the best fishing opportunities?

The Bechler is good that time of year, and you're away from the
maddening Park crowds.

Get the Yellowstone book on this site, written by the shop's owner
Craig Matthews. Good stuff, especially if you're interested in getting
off the beaten path in the park.

I don't know nothin' from nothin' about Yellowstone
in late September so I won't post anything about it
here.

If I'm actually there my best advice is to look me
up and ask me what I recommend. And then do something
else entirely because I'll have lied.

craig matthews, in person, speaking to fychoc, confirmed fawn lake for
big brookies...and grizzlies. it's definitely off the beaten path.
pleasant 6-7 mile hike up glen creek/fawn pass trail. trailhead is 5
miles south of mammoth. take a float tube, small flies...unless a damsel
fly still survives in september.
