OT Shoulda went fishin'

Just got back from Busch Stadium where the friggin'
Cubs beat my Cardinals 6-5. At least I *think* I
was at Busch Stadium, maybe I was in Des Moines
watching synchronized swimming and I've never even
been to Busch Stadium. ;-)

My favorite Cub fan bailed at the last minute saying
it was too damn hot to watch a ball game in St. Louis.
Proving once again that my wife is *way* smarter than
me.

It was Busch Stadium. It was hot. "Great place. Really holds the heat."

Would have been better standing in the cool waters of a stocked spring
creek than to watch [arguably] the best team in baseball fall to the Cubs.

How about that Fawn Lake?

Fawn Lake is a myth designed to make tourons hike 14 miles while the
yellowstone local studs fish all the good stuff by the side of the road
(or even better, from a barstool).

bruce h ;-)

It's a myth. Nothing but 5 acres of unfishable weeds
surrounded by marsh unless you get there at ice out.

well as the earlier ones in the fawn lake thread, so you'll get it too.

Good. Glad I could be of help. I was by that art store a couple of
weeks ago doing some historical work for a friend who's ancestors are
from Hadley.

Fawn Lake: I believe Forty was at Fawn Lake but didn't want to
advertise it as a great place to fish. Everyone knows there's a Fawn
Lake; he just didn't want it to get very much attention. Too late
now, however. d;o)

Best to the beautiful woman; hope she is well.

nah... as i said, google it and read what he wrote last year and this
year. i believe you're wrong. :)

many of us suspected he'd make the claim you're making as a face-saving
imposture. don't do it for him.

btw, he's the one who made sure it got a lot of attention by his
arrogance and his ad hominem comments.

Best to the beautiful woman; hope she is well.

thanks...she's doing well - despite being shackled to me. g
