Thought this would have seen more comments, considering he pretty much
invented "structure fishing" and was the first to try to pattern bass by
depth range. A lot of what bass fishing is today was the result of his
research and writing in the days before "depth finders".

Fishing has lost a great one!

No doubt about it. Even though he was too dogmatic for my taste, I
learned a hell of a lot from him directly, as well as from those who
learned from him.
