Striking the Knot

When I was a kid I recall my dad complaining about trout striking the knot
where his leader was attached to the flyline. Hmmm.... Upon reflection I
wonder if he might have done better by using a tiny white dry fly in those
circumstances? Maybe gotten creative and tied a hook right into the knot.
LOL.

If I'm knot mistaken they call that a dropper rig. Fishing a dry fly with a
nymph dropper. I was amazed at the number of strikes on the nymphs that I
was missing.
