Salmon
Went fly fishing over the bank holiday - river very low - about 12" down on
last season.I was completely staggered by looking down at a pool and seeing 15 / 20 + salmon in about 6ft of crystal clear water. During a period of about 3 hours watched 15lb + fish to 5/6 lb lying with several just cruising around, all silver fish - what a sight! Mike |

Mike Here in the Swansea valley we're entering the silly season when the EA usually start on their erosion prevention schemes or flood defence schemes and the river runs filthy. Any salmon that make it to the spawning redds probably suffer from scilicosis ! A couple of salmon have been take recently - fish of around the 6 lbs mark -- Bill Grey http://www.billboy.co.uk |
