Weekend fishing.
Went up to a grape picking and wine charity sale for Cal Poly SLO scholarships on Saturday. Rant on: Why is it people come to one of these events, drink the free wine, etc, and then do not even buy one bottle? Tacky. Rant off. Fished their pond, for bass. Landed about 3, lost about 4. Mostly Senkos, and all about 1.5#. All in about 45 minutes of fishing. Was fun. Stayed at Spanish Flat resort at Lake Berryessa Sat night with the camper, and boated Sunday, fished for bass, drop shot. Landed 3, all a pound or less smallmouth. Very windy until about 4:30. so fished where it was protected. Not the main lake rock piles where the bass have been hitting. Maybe as the latest Western Outdoor News writer posted, we need to do more catch and release in to 350 degree oil. Lots of bass, but mostly 1# size. Same thing has happened on Lake Shasta and starting to happen on Clear Lake. Hard to get a decent sized bass. Friends pond that we fished is loaded, but biggest in pond may be 2#. They are redoing their smaller pond because of algae problem. (these are reservoirs for the vineyard) and the pond specialist has introduced bait fish and bluegills. Later the bass will be transplanted. |

No, but I remember him well. Since I grew up here. Still semi-unsolved,
they think they know who he was, but can not prve it, and he is departed this life for Hades I think. My worry was the Zebra killings. Just get shot because you were white. 6 of them within 12 blocks of my office I worked out of at night fixing mainframe computers while going to university. I did find a Diawa rod floating. Had the top 2" missing. Maybe it is lifetime warrantee? :) "go-bassn" wrote in message ... Lake Berryessa, did ya happen to run into the Zodiac killer? WW ;-) "Bill McKee" wrote in message nk.net...
