San Juan clave?
Any thoughts brewing yet on when (if?) this is going to take place this
year? JR |
JR...i queried a week ago, or so...not much chatter...i am
watchin' and plannin on doing a fair effort to get there this nov or dec....whenever everyone else goes...Are you returning to the SJ, or a "newbie"...like me? |
I really don't do any work or anything. If there's interest I'll do it
again. Jon, pick dates that you can make and we'll go from there. JR, hope you can make it (if we have it!) If RW can make it that'd really seal the deal. I'd pull out all the stops. Everyone really needs to spend a Winter day on the Animas too. And the food's way better in Durango. bruce h |

I'm suffering from a pinched nerve in my casting arm at the moment (irritated by rowing in cold, miserable weather on the Kanektok), but I think it's coming along pretty well. Someday, Bruiser, you have to visit me in Idaho. Maybe we can get a cancellation on the Middle Fork and you can bring your raft. It will be exciting, at the very least. Everyone really needs to spend a Winter day on the Animas too. And the food's way better in Durango. The Animas and Durango are "don't miss" places. -- Cut "to the chase" for my email address. |
I really regret not visiting ID yet. Thanks for the invites and I will
visit someday soon. As soon as Jon picks some dates that are good for him we'll get this San Juan show on the road too. bruce h |
brusier...rw is a great guide for his backyard, he showed me
a few epic spots one summer...heck, the seneary aint' half bad either..... |
Ahh, cancellations on the MidFork. My personal 'endless summer' trip
involved a car and van convoy from Seattle to the put-in for the MidFork, where we waited one day for a cancellation and got on. After that, we did a one-day float on the whitewater section of the Main Salmon (didn't need a permit since we flagged down a jetboat for a ride back up to the put-in that same day), then off to Oregon where we camped for one day and got a cancellation for the Rogue, and then a handful of us headed down to Arizona and got snagged for a cancellation spot as guides for a private Canyon trip. Ahh, cancellations. :-) Sure wish I had been a flyfisherman back then.... --riverman (reeling in the years...) |
