Just bought a Nor-vise on Ebay. Will give a report once I get it in
and start to play with it.

You'll love it if you got the automatic bobbin to go along with the vise.

Got the bobbins too. I'm going to order the fine point offset jaws and
also a travel base.

It's a great tool, but it's hard to get used to. Once you do you won't be
interested in anything else.

Merry Christmas

Well, my dad told me that when I was 13 and he was right.

I actually don't see why folks think its difficult to get used to.
There are some extra skills involved, but nothing radical. I played
with it for two hours last night, topping it off with two wet flies.
Had a blast. And yes, it does make it incredibly easy to dub a fly.
And yes, my hackle went on like a dream. And yes, ribbing looks
perfect. Aside from the price, I'm still looking for the downside of
this. I do agree that the lack of room at the back of the fly could be
a hindrance, but the fine point jaws more than ameliorate the problem.
This vise is friggen awesome.
After two hours, I tried my old vice and it felt awkward.

all kidding aside, glad you are enjoying it. Bring it up to Penn's and we

Will do. Once you've dubbed with a Nor-vise, there's no going back.
