1st Annual Dogfish Open
 

Dogfish, Green Eyed Monsters, Bad Things, yes there are many names for them
and they have come to be a real pain in the ass since our wonderfull
fisheries management plans have worked so well!
Seems they think they were overfished so they protected them - what a joke,
try chumming from cape cod to the canadian border - throw out a couple
pieces of chum and you have a pack of dogfish at your transom waiting for
more. Went cod fishing in Nov 30mi to the east of gloucester, 15 haddock, 5
cod and about 100 dogfish (100 less that wont be breeders !!!) Had a few
days this past summer that you couldnt get away from them - where ever you
were, they were there.
So there seems to be no recreational limit on them so how about we have some
east coast dogfish tournaments for fun to see who can kill the most, maybe
that will get the attn of our fisheries mangement people who obviously dont
fish!
